The Premium bonus worth checking
Roblox Premium members receive a monthly Robux allowance and a better Robux rate on some purchase routes than non-members. Roblox has also periodically run bonus-Robux promotions on gift card redemptions. Both change, so the practical advice is simply: look at the actual Robux figure shown on the redemption screen before confirming.
If the child is a Premium member, holding Credit and buying Robux through the account may deliver more than converting at redemption. If they are not, Credit can also be used to buy Premium itself, which for a regular player is frequently better value than the same amount in one-off Robux.
The Robux scams every parent should be able to name
This is the part of the page that actually matters. Roblox's player base skews young, in-game currency is valuable to them, and the platform has an enormous ecosystem of third-party sites. The result is a very well developed scam economy, and the patterns are consistent enough to teach.

Practical controls that help more than lectures: enable the account PIN in Roblox settings, turn on account restrictions or spend limits where available, and keep the balance funded by gift card rather than by a saved card.
