Privacy policy

A short policy, because we collect very little. No accounts, no logins, no wallet connections, no advertising profiles.

Why we point to a licensed venue The welcome-bonus link above goes to CEX.IO, which is a registered Money Services Business with FinCEN in the United States, holds a DLT Provider authorisation (FSC0686FSA) from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, and operates a CySEC-authorised investment firm in the EU. Licensing is not a profit guarantee — it means there is a regulator to complain to.

Who we are

GiftMeCrypto.gifts is an independent information website about crypto gift cards, vouchers, gifting and promotional bonuses. We are the data controller for the very limited personal data described below. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Nothing you have to give us. There are no user accounts, no registration, no newsletter gate and no wallet connection anywhere on this site.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and to keep the site running. This is ordinary web-server behaviour and the retention is set by the host.
  • Aggregate analytics, where enabled. Page-level counts of visits and referrers, configured to avoid cross-site advertising identifiers. We use it to see which guides people read, not to build profiles of individuals.
  • Email correspondence. If you write to us, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it.

What we do not collect

  • Wallet addresses, private keys or seed phrases — we never ask, and you should never send them to anyone
  • Payment card or bank details — no payments are taken on this site
  • Identity documents of any kind
  • Behavioural advertising profiles, or data sold on to third parties

Cookies and similar technologies

We keep first-party cookies to the minimum required for the site to function. Where analytics are used, they are configured for aggregate measurement rather than individual tracking. When you follow an outbound link, the destination site may set its own cookies, including affiliate attribution cookies, governed entirely by that site's own privacy policy. We have no control over and no access to those.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and subsequently open an account or make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Attribution is handled by the destination platform. We receive aggregate commission reporting, not your personal information. This funding does not influence our rankings or the criticism we publish — see our about page for the full disclosure.

Legal bases

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for security logging and aggregate analytics, and on your consent where consent is legally required for any non-essential cookie. Where we correspond with you by email, the basis is legitimate interests in answering the enquiry you initiated.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Residents of California and other US states with comparable statutes have analogous rights, including the right to know and to delete. Because we hold so little, most requests resolve quickly. Email [email protected] and we will respond.

If you are in the UK you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EU, you may complain to your national data protection authority, listed by the European Data Protection Board.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Some of our content discusses gifting crypto to minors; that is written for the adults doing the gifting.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not operate an advertising network or a data broker relationship.
Do you use tracking cookies?
We keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the site. If and when analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only configuration without cross-site advertising identifiers. Third parties you click through to set their own cookies under their own policies.
What happens when I click an affiliate link?
The destination platform may record that the visit came from us, typically with a cookie or a URL parameter, so that any commission is attributed correctly. That process is controlled by the destination, under its privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your personal details from it — only aggregate reporting.
How do I request deletion of my data?
Email [email protected]. Since the only personal data we typically hold is an email conversation you started, deletion usually means deleting that correspondence, which we will do on request.
